He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. - Psalm 126.6
The impact of a seed
Never underestimate your seed, it may seem insignificant but a time of harvest is coming. Seeds may include leading a department, coming to church faithfully, and giving an offering.
Indeed I have taken much trouble to prepare for the house of the LORD one hundred thousand talents of gold and one million talents of silver, and bronze and iron beyond measure, for it is so abundant. I have prepared timber and stone also, and you may add to them. - 1 Chronicles 22:14
Giving is costly
18 He said to them, “Is not the Lord your God with you? And has he not granted you rest on every side? For he has given the inhabitants of the land into my hands, and the land is subject to the Lord and to his people. 19 Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the Lord your God. Begin to build the sanctuary of the Lord God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the sacred articles belonging to God into the temple that will be built for the Name of the Lord.” - 1 Chronicles 22:18-19
Some Keys from the Church of Macedonia
The church of Macedonia was known for having empty pockets yet they openly gave.
The church gave far more than what was expected, and they did not need arm twisting to give. The church also begged for the privilege of giving, they didn't want to be left out. Ultimately the church of Macedonia gave joyfully, sacrificially, and graciously.
Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia: 2 that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality. 3 For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing, 4 imploring us with much urgency that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. - 2 Corinthians 8:1–4
